Mumbai, Jun 5: Security has been beefed up at all railway stations following four bomb hoax calls received last night.
A top Railway Police Official said security has been tightened at all railway stations after a woman informed that she overheard conversation between few women about a bomb planted at Panvel, Dockyard, Mahalaxmi and Kanjurmarg railway stations.
''We have also stepped up surveillance for women bombers as there are reports that terrorists have entered the city. Women have been selected by the terrorist outfit to plant the bombs because they are the least likely to be intercepted,'' he said.
''The city police have also deployed more manpower at the sensitive places like the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), airports, Siddhivinayak temple, Mahalaxmi temple, state secretariats and near residences of politicians.
The officer said an intelligence reports indicated that Pakistan's ISI has trained women marine commandos to carry out strikes along the west coast of the country.
