Fuel prices: Haryana cabinet to discuss relief measures
Chandigarh, June 5 (UNI) A meeting of the Haryana Cabinet will be held tomorrow to work out measures to ''give relief to the common man in the wake of the hike in the petroleum products.'' An official spokesman said the cabinet would meet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here at 1200 hrs tomorrow.
The decision to convene the cabinet meeting, he said, had been taken to consider measures to give relief to the common man in view of the recent hike in the petroleum products.
The government's decision follows Congress president Sonia Gandhi's appeal to the Congress-ruled states to slash taxes on petroleum products at their own level.
