Srinagar, Jun 5 (UNI) Asking people to learn from the wisdom of forefathers who lived in total peace with environment, the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad termed environmental degradation and climate change global concern.
He called for massive awareness to deal with the imminent environment situation presented by scientists as a worst scenario.
''Environmental degradation, climate change and global warming are no longer subjects confined to academic and scientific deliberations,'' Mr Azad said.
Mr Azad was speaking at inauguration of the seminar on 'Climate Change: Causes, Consequences and Control' as part of the week-long World Environment Day activities launched by University of Kashmir here today.
