Bangalore, June 5 (UNI) ValueFirst, a leading provider of Mobile Data Services to more than 800 enterprises, has been selected by the Bharatiya Janata Party IT Cell in Karnataka to develop an extensive SMS based communications network.
Coinciding with the signing of the MoU, ValueFirst has launched an awareness and education campaign on Enterprise Mobile Messaging.
Mr Vijay Shukla, Co-founder and Country Head, ValueFirst said mobile messaging will help Indian enterprises and organisations overcome the physical and economical constraints of extensive mass reach and enable efficient real-time communication.
Enterprise mobile messaging though at a nascent stage in India has shown exponential growth in this short period of time. Features such as cost effectiveness, ease of use, wide reach, easy implementation and real-time messaging capabilities have driven enterprises to adopt mobile messaging services to improve their internal and external communication systems, he said.
However, a recent nationwide survey by ValueFirst has revealed that the awareness about this service is minimal. About 41 per cent of the respondents admitted that their knowledge about the mobile messaging market is either average or poor, he said.
"It is of popular opinion that IT has no room in Indian politics because of the expenses involved. However a traditional party like the BJP has an independent IT cell," he said.
