New Delhi, Jun 5: India's ace doubles player Mahesh Bhupathi has pulled out of the French Open following an injury to his left calf muscle.
The 34-year-old Indian had strained the muscle earlier this year and aggravated the injury during the quarter-final match on Tuesday. Bhupathi, partnering Jie Zheng of China at the French Open, was scheduled to play the semi-final against top seeds Slovenia's Katarina Srebotnik and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia later today. The Bhupathi-Jie duo beat Virginie Razzano of France and Rogier Wassen of the Netherlands 6-2, 6-4 to enter the mixed doubles semis on Tuesday.
