Whirlpool launches products in five categories

Hyderabad, June 4 (UNI) Whirlpool Corporation, one of the country's leading durables markets, today unveiled its new products across five categories -- refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, microwave ovens and water purifiers.

The launch included Whirlpool revamped 'Genius and Fusion' range of refrigerators, 'Professional' series of washing machines and refrigerators, 'Mastermind' air conditioners, 'Max' microwave ovens and 'Purafresh' Reverse Osmosis water purifier, a company release here said.

Whirlpool India Managing Director Arvind Uppal said ''2007 has been quite good for us. Understanding our consumers has been our key to success...We design our products keeping in mind the needs of our customers...With the launch of 'Genius and Fusion' range of refrigerators, 'Professional' series of washing machines, 'Mastermind' air conditioners and 'Max' microwave ovens, the company will further strengthen its foothold in four categories in 2008 and will also focus on the newly-ventured Water Purifier category.'' The company expected to notch up a 25 per cent market share in the refrigerator category, 20 per cent in the washing machine category, ten per cent each in the microwave oven, air conditioner and water purifier categories in the country this year, he said.
