Jammu, Jun 4 (UNI) Three suspected militants of Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) were arrested today and huge quantity of arms and ammunition were seized from them at Kanachak area in the city outskirts in Jammu and Kashmir.
IGP Jammu K Rajindra told UNI that police had apprehended three people, belonging to Punjab, who were carrying a consignment of arms and ammunition.
''Although it's premature to say at this stage, but from the consignmet, which belongs to the KZF, we are suspecting that the carrier (arrested people) are either KZF militants or their over-ground workers,'' Mr Rajindra said.
Consignment comprises five pistols and one AK-47, besides a huge quantity of ammunition and other incriminating materials, he disclosed.
However, police have not disclosed the names of the arrested.
''We are investigating the case from every angle,'' the IGP said, asserting that the motive behind shipping arms and ammunition is being ascertained''.
