Teacher commits suicide

Kolhapur, Jun 4 (UNI) A primary school teacher today committed suicide, by hanging himself to a tree, in the powerloom town of Ichalkaranji in the district.

The deceased, identified as Jaising Ramchandra Bavadekar (35), was from Shirol tehsil and was also head-master of the Kolhapur Zilla Parishad Shirati Primary School in Shirol tehsil, police said.

Mr Bavadekar had developed some bad habits, like drinking and other addictions, which led him into a debt trap and forced him to take the extreme step, police added.
