Sydney, June 3 : TV and film celebrity Tania Zaetta will receive a personal apology from the defence force chief over unproven claims that she had sex with Oz troops on Middle East tour.

While talking at a senate estimates hearing, Air Chief Marshal Houston revealed that there was no evidence of any such conduct by Zaetta.

A briefing document had claimed that the former 'Fear Factor' host had sex with special forces soldiers at the Australian base in Tarin Kowt in Afghanistan.

"A quick assessment has been completed," The Australian quoted Houston, as saying.

"There was no substance to the allegations, and I will conclude the matter with a letter to the person in question.

"I will obviously apologise and express my deep regret about any hurt she has suffered," he added.
