Nokia unveils multimedia device 'N78'

Chennai, Jun 4: In continuance with its global strategy to drive the mobile convergence space, Nokia Nseries, the premium multimedia sub brand of Nokia, today unveiled the latest multimedia device Nokia N78, in the Indian market. The Nokia N78 ushers in a new era in convergence by taking a leap ahead from offering multiple experiences on one device to actually merging experiences with each other, thus creating new, unexpected and interesting results, Mr Vineet Taneja, Head-GTM, Nokia India, said, addressing a press conference here.

The highlight of Nokia N78 is the "Location Tagger" application, which automatically tags location data to the picture, allowing users to save pictures by date as well as by geographical coordinates. The new set also enables consumers to take full advantage of a suite of Nokia services, including the Nokia Maps and integrated A-GPS. The retail price of Nokia N78 is fixed at about Rs 19,999. With its signature sleek black surface, the Nokia N78 will be available in two stylish colors, cocoa brown and lagoon blue. Users could now store all information about locations they visit using an image and share it online with the world.

"It also allows the fusion of music, camera and internet, enabling users to generate content right from the palms of their hands", Mr Taneja said.
