Murder accused to appear for JMFC interview
Ahmedabad, June 4 (UNI) Gujarat High Court has allowed an undertrial, to appear for an interview for the post of the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC).
Hemant Nagindas Modi had cleared the written examination, results of which were declared on May 11, and the interview is slated for tomorrow.
The undertrial has been released for a 33.5-hours, from 0800 hrs today till 1730 hrs tomorrow, in order to enable him to appear for the interview. Earlier, a lower court had rejected Hemant's bail plea.
Hemant had been let out of the jail for a period of 11 days in April earlier to allow him to appear for the JMFC written examination.
Hemant (32), a resident of Ahmedabad, and his elder brother Sachin Modi, are in judicial custody on the charges of murdering Narendra alias Nanno, a city-based real estate agent on June 15, 2005. Hemant, an advocate, used to practice at the Ahmedabad sessions court before his arrest.
