HP to fill all vacant posts in Ayurveda, says Bindal
Shimla, Jun 4 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Government has decided to fill all vacant posts in the Ayurveda health centres to ensure their smooth functioning.
This was stated by Himachal Pradesh Health Minister Rajiv Bindal while addressing a state level meeting of the district ayurvedic officers and sub-divisional ayurvedic medical officers here.
In the meeting, the minister advised every institution to grow 20 to 30 herbal plants in the premises wherever it was feasible.
Mr Bindal also directed the officers to store medicines in good conditions, away from dampness, rodents, insects and dust.
He called upon the Ayurveda Department to take a lead in providing health cover to the people of the state and directed the officers to work with determination in order to promote, propagate and popularise the Ayurvedic system of treatment.
The state Government has also decided to lay stress on certain ''Ayush Select Therapies'', he said and added that a project was being launched soon on ''Anemia Free Himachal'' based on Ayurvedic system.
Mr Bindal said others areas of priority were Geriatric Health Care through Ayurveda, Kshar-Sutra Therapy in Ano-rectal ailments and Panchkarma for the promotion of positive health.
