Kurukshetra, Jun 4 (UNI) The joint action committee of the Haryana Roadways Workers Union and the Haryana Roadways Karamchari Sangh have warned the Haryana government of a state-wide 'Chakka Jam' on August 20, after a phase-wise agitation, if their long pending demands were not met.

The JAC threatened that from July 1, the roadways workers will resort to agitation first at the district headquarters and then at the Chandigarh headquarters and would finally resort to Chakka Jam on August 20, said Baldev Singh, president of the Haryana Roadways Karamchari Sangh here today, while talking to reporters after the day-long deliberations with the members of the JAC.

About 1000 active members of the roadways unions participated in the day-long meeting to chalk out the agitation plan if the government failed to implement settlement of June 4, 2006, did not stop the outsourcing from private sector and did not include the new fleet of buses in the state transport.
