New Delhi, Jun 4 (UNI) Bosch Security Systems, a division of Bosch Ltd, today said it is looking for potential acquisitions in the Rs 200 crore CCTV surveillance market in the country.
'Though there are no big manufacturers of security systems in India, we are looking at the possibility of acquisitions in the country. In last 6-7 years, the company has acquired 7-10 companies all over the world and also looking for potential acquistions in the country.'' Bosch Security Systems Vice President India Dhiraj Wali told UNI.
The company has recently acquired Canada-based Extreme CCTV Inc which manufactures and supplies active infrared illuminators, integrated day and night cameras with active illuminations and hardened imaging products for use in extreme environments.
Bosch Security Systems is the country's largest supplier of security, safety and communication products, offering systems and solutions in the area of video surveillance, access control, intrusion, fire-alarms, public address, congress and professional sound systems.
The solutions are used in transportation (Delhi and Kolkata Metro), retail stores (Great India Mall, Noida), city surveillance, railway stations (Uttar Pradesh's 19 railway stations), prisons (Tihar Jail), airports (Mubai International Airport) and commercial complexes.
Bosch Security Systems has also brought Intelligent Internet Protocol (IP) CCTV technology for the Indian industry. It will give customers the advantage of IP video benefits-- wireless access anywhere on the network, reduced storage costs, provision of a backup storage system in case of failure, excellent video quality and scalability for enlarging CCTV system.
In India, the company has a 20 per cent share in the CCTV surveillance market. It has an after sale service centre in Bangalore and planning a full-fledged set up in the country.
