Police said that 44 year-old who working as Quality Controller for Shobha Developers, was on leave since May 31 and was supposed to have reported to duty on June Two. When he did not come for work yesterday also one of his colleague went to his house to find out the reason. As bad smell was coming from the house he informed the police who rushed to the spot and after breaking open it was found Mr Rommel dead on his bed and the body was in decomposing state. Ruling out any foul play as there were no robbery, the apartment's doors were locked from inside and there were no injury reported, Police said that Mr Rommel might have died on Sunday or Monday due to heart attack. However, the body was sent for postmortem.
The German Consulate in Chennai and the Foreigners Registration centre have been informed about Mr Rommel.
