YPS Patiala defeates SDCA Delhi in Hot Weather Cricket

Patiala, Jun 3 (UNI) The local Yadavindra Public School (YPS) convincingly defeated Sumit Dogra Cricket Academy (SDCA), Delhi, by six wickets in the 10th Hot Weather Cricket Tournament (Under-13) here today.

Batting first, SDCA were all out for 107 in 38.4 overs.

Amazingly, six SDCA batsmen were run out. Vikas (20), Shiv Charan (13) and Nakul (12) were the main run getters. For YPS, S Singla took 3 for 28.

In reply, YPS scored 109 for 4 in 25.1 overs. Angad (47) played a fine innings to take YPS to victory. For SDCA, Raj Duggal took all the four wickets that fell, conceding 21 runs.

In another match, played at the Army Cricket Ground, Black Elephant Cricket Club (BECC) defeated Stadium X1, Agra, by nine wickets.

Batting first, Stadium X1 were all out for 79 in 35.1 overs.

Abhishek (18) and Manoj (17) were the main scorers. For BECC, Gurtek took 4 for 11 and Prabhjot captured 2 wickets, giving away 30 runs.

BECC scored 80 in 22.3 overs, losing just one wicket, to record a resounding victory. Prabhjot was unbeaten on 33 and Anmolpreet Singh was 22 not out.
