Ahmedabad, Jun 3: Young Indians, a youth wing of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will organise a four-day ''The Young Leaders World Summit -- India Edition'' at IIM Ahmedabad from June 6. Speaking to reporters, Young Indians vice chairman Rahul Mirchandani said that the summit will serve as a unique platform for young Indian students from more than 35 campuses across India to engage in a meaningful debate and deliberation on solutions to pressing global issues.

The summit will be structured in the exact format as the United Nations General Assembly, Security Council and Econominc and Social council, folling accurate UN Parliamentary protocol and procedures. More than 500 students delegates have been selected for the world summit from across various parts of India using a stringent selection process. They will research the foreign policies of countries that they are assigned to represent and live the lives of UN ambassadors during the four days of the summit sessions.

The delegates taking part in these mock sessions will try to find possible solutions and pass resolutions which will be documented by our knowledge partners as the opinions of the Indian youth on each of the issues discussed. The document will be submitted to policy makers, government bodies and the United Nations office in New Delhi.
