TRS Chief's resignation a political drama, says Cong leader
Hyderabad, Jun 3 (UNI) Former Andhra Pradesh Minister and senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy today alleged that the resignation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao was a ''political drama.'' Talking to newspersons here, Mr Reddy, who was defeated by the TRS chief in Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat in the 2006 elections and the May 29 bypoll, said ''there is no need for him to resign the post. The resignation of TRS MPs and MLAs, which caused the byelections, and the resignation of Mr Rao showed the ''arrogance'' of the TRS chief, he alleged.
Stating that the Telangana issue was not the ''monopoly'' of the TRS, he said ''Mr Rao should change his mind to lead the Telangana movement.'' Mr Reddy, who was the state Roads and Buildings Minister, contested the byelections after resigning from the state Cabinet.
