SOI to set up units in senior secondary schools
Fatehgarh Sahib, Jun 3 (UNI) The Students Organisation of India (SOI) will now set up its units in Senior Secondary schools of Punjab, national president of SOI Gurpreet Singh alias Raju Khanna said here today.
SOI, which had already set up units in colleges, professional institutes and university, now planned to expand its network in senior secondary schools, he said.
Saying that SOI membership had crossed the one-lakh figure, Mr Khanna said that the re-organisation of outfit would be completed by the first week of August this year.
He said that his organisation had already launched a state-wide campaign against drug abuse through awareness campaigns and had resolved to uproot the flourishing business of drugs and narcotics from the state.
He said that SOI will seek representation from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in forthcoming Municipal Council elections.
