Silver, gold open high: Bombay Bullion Association

Mumbai, Jun 3: Prices of precious metals today resumed at high levels, with spot silver opening at Rs 23,865 per kg and gold at Rs 12,320 per ten gm respectively, on reduced offers by stockists in view of bullish advises from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Silver (999 finesses grade) hiked by Rs 120 per kg, while standard mint gold and pure gold also rose by Rs 130 per ten gm each, from their last finish, on fresh demand from jewellery-makers. In Asian markets, gold was quoted firm in a range of USD 893.30/894.80 per troy ounce against USD 883.30/885.50 on previous day and silver touched a high at USD 16.87/16.89 per troy ounce compared to USD 16.77/16.79 per troy ounce from its last finish, which helped to boost the domestic prices, traders added.
