No decision to recover Rs 1.8 crore from PCA yet: Badal
Hoshiarpur, Jun3 (UNI) Punjab Government has not taken any decision yet to recover an amount of Rs 1.8 crore from the Punjab Cricket Association for providing police security during seven IPL matches played at the Mohali stadium, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said here today.
While addressing mediapersons at village Begowal, while replying to a question on the S.A.S. Nagar SSP R.S.Khatra proceeding on a month leave after a spat with IPL Mohali Franchise co-owner Ness Wadia and stand-off with DGP N.P.S.Aulakh, Mr Badal denied that there was any pressure on the SSP to proceed on leave and stressed that the SSP had gone on leave at his own.
Mr Khatra had asked the government to recover the amount from sponsers for providing security during the IPL matches.
The Chief Minister had visited Begowal near here to participate in a religious function organised in the memory of Sant Prem Singh Muralewale.
