Hubli, June 3 (UNI) Investigation in the KIMS shoot out has been further intensified after yesterday's arrest of KIMS former director Dr M G Hiremath and three local Congress leaders in connection with the crime.
Police have taken two more persons for questioning in the case in which KIMS Superintendent Dr Shivanand Doddamani had received serious bullet injuries.
According to sources, sketches of hired shooters were prepared after getting details from an assistant of a Congress leader who deals with arms.
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Police Narayan Nadamani denied reports in the section of the press that hired shooters were arrested by the police.
"We have the information that hired shooters were from Sholapur in Maharasthra and we will nab soon," he added.
