Haryana to set up DNA lab at Madhuban
Chandigarh, June 3 (UNI) The Haryana government would set up a DNA Laboratory at a cost of Rs two crore in Forensic Science Laboratory at Madhuban in Karnal district by the end of this month.
A Haryana Police spokesman said this would be the first and only laboratory in the state with facilities for NARCO-analysis and Brain Mapping.
He said these facilities would be provided in this laboratory by the end of this year.
The infrastructure had been developed for setting up of this laboratory and all modern equipments had been purchased by the Department.
He said separate space had been provided for setting up seperate cabins to carry out different procedures of DNA analysis, like Extraction Room, Pre Police Control Room, Genetic Analysis Room, Washing, Autoclaving and Water Purification Room.
The Spokesman said that Dr Pandu Guguloth had been appointed from State Forensic Science Laboratory, Andhra Pradesh on deputation as Assistant Director.
