45-year-old woman killed as bus hits autorickshaw

New Delhi, Jun 3 (UNI) A 45-year-old woman today became the latest victim of capital's savage buses after her autorickshaw was hit in R K Puram area of south Delhi this morning.

Vasant Kunj resident Harbans Kaur died soon after a chartered tourist bus hit her auto in R K Puram Sector 7 at about 1100 hrs, according to the police.

The driver of the hus reportedly lost control and collided head-on with the auto coming on the other side of the road.

Though both the vehicles were on their respective sides, but as the driver lost control, the bus went past the road divider and hit the autorickshaw. It also hit a car before smashing into the auto, according to eye-witnesses.

The driver of the auto Shadab (19), admitted to the Safdarjung Hospital, was serious but out of danger.

The driver of the bus was absconding.
