Bangalore, Jun 2: The Special Court trying multi-crore stamp paper scam involving main accused Abdul Karim Telgi had conducted trail through video conferencing and posted the case for June 23.
Special Court Judge S S Murgod posted who heard Telgi who was lodged in high-security Central Jail located in Parappanahara in the outskirts of the city, through video conferencing. Telgi, main accused in the multi-crore stamp paper scam was however refused to answer most of the questions in the absence of his counsel Shankarappa. Telgi, who was brought to the city from Yarawada Jail, Pune, yesterday under tight security, was housed in a Cell at the Central Jail at Parappana Agrahara on the outskirts of Bangalore. The Cell was barricaded and CCTV was installed to keep close watch on the movement of Telgi.
Telgi was produced before the judge in connection with a criminal case registered in 2001. He faces at least eight cases in Karnataka.
