Silver, gold opens low: Bombay Bullion Assn
Mumbai, June 2: Prices of spot silver and gold today resumed on a lower note at Rs 23,585 per kg and gold at Rs 12,100 per ten gm respectively, on sustained offers by stockists along with bearish advises from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.
Silver (999 finesses grade) crashed by Rs 105 per kg, while standard mint gold and pure gold also declined by Rs 105 per ten gm each, from their last finish, on lack of fresh demand from jewellery makers. In Asian markets, gold quoted weaker trend in a range of USD 883.30/885.50 per troy ounce against 887.20/888.30 on previous day and silver touched a low at USD 16.89/16.92 per troy ounce compared to 16.88/16.952 per troy ounce from its last finish, which reflected to downward trend at the domestic prices, traders added.
