Pudducherry boys and girls win

Chandigarh, Jun 2 (UNI) Holders Pudducherry recorded two victories in their boys Pool A programme of the second day of the 21st Junior National Atya Patya Championship here today.

Puddicherry huffed and puffed before prevailing over Manipur 17-23, 15-12, 30-27 and later defeated Tamil Nadu by 12-10, 11-10.

Tamil Nadu suffered their second successive defeat as Delhi beat them by 15-12, 15-14.

Defending champions Pudducherry got full points at the cost of Uttrakhand by 14-11, 12-10. It was their second consecutive win as they had defeated Chandigarh in a girls Pool A match yesterday.

Delhi girls won two matches in their pool B programme. Delhi secured full points after beating Rajasthan by 13-10, 18-15 and later beat Haryana by 13-9, 18-15.
