Junior doctors of PMCH on strike

Patna, Jun 2 (UNI) Junior doctors of Patna Medical College and Hospital(PMCH) today went on an indefinite strike demanding arrest of the kin of a nine-year-old girl patient for misbehaving with them after her death, due to alleged negligence during treatment in the hospital.

Official sources said the doctors were demanding arrest of the father of the patient who died due to alleged negligence during the treatment in the hospital. They were also demanding the removal of Deputy Superintendent of police for dereliction in discharging his duty to protect the doctors from the enraged relatives of the patient, succumbed during the treatment, sources added.

Meanwhile, the sources said that negotiation was on with the junior doctors to end the strike soon in the interest of the patients.
