Shimla, Jun 2 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today issued guidelines for the three committees constituted to inquire into the cases of irregularities in appointment of teachers under Parent Teachers Association (PTA).
All complaints regarding irregularities in appointments in teachers under the PTA should be made to chairman of the committee on or before June 20, state Education Minister I D Dhiman said here.
He said the committees would inquire into complaints of inadequate publicity, interviews not held, all the eligible applicants not invited for interview or merit ignored in the appointment.
The Himachal Government had set up three committees in April to inquire into irregularities in appointment at college, senior secondary and high schools and middle school level following a report by Education Secretary Deepak Sanan and orders of the courts.
While DC, ADC or ADM is appointed the chairman of the committee along with principal and subject specialist at the college level, ADC, ADM or SDM is chairman, principal and subject specialist at senior and high school level and SDM as chairman, principal and subject specialist at the middle school level.
Mr Dhiman said all complaints of teachers appointed on other considerations rather than merit would be evaluated before arriving at any decisions.
Deputy Commissioner of the district would decide whether he would chair the committee himself or nominate ADC or ADM for a college or for a group of colleges, he added.
He said for the senior secondary and high schools, the DCs would nominate ADC, ADM or SDM for a school or for a group of schools.
