Groundnut, sunflower, rapeseed oils, key seeds gain

Mumbai, June 2 (UNI) Prices of spot groundnut raw, palmolein, rapeseed refined, cottonseed refined oils and groundnutseed kernel and nigerseed today gained on reduced selling pressure and firm advice from producing centres, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange (BCE) said here.

Among oils (per ten kg), groundnut raw, pamolein refined, cottonseed refined, sunflower refined and rapeseed refined rose beween Rs five and Rs 15 while soyabean refined, rice bran and castor commercial also gained by Rs five each on reduced pressure by stockists owing to lesser stock arrivals from producing centres and expectations of timely onset of moonsons.

However, sunflower expeller oil eased by Rs five on thin demand from retailers and larger stocks in the domestic markets.

Among seeds (per quintal), groudnut kernel, nigerseed and castorseed Disa varieties rose by Rs 25, Rs 100 and Rs 25 respectively on sustained heavy buying support from millers, induced by firm advice from producing centres.

But castorseed Bombay variety eased by Rs five on heavy offers from stockists in view of better stocks supplies from producing ares.

In oilcakes (per tonnes), undecotton extraction variety also gained by Rs 50 on improved demand from shippers in view of lesser stocks in the domestic markets, traders added.
