Fishermen dies of heart attack in mid sea

Chennai, Jun 2 (UNI) A 55-year-old fisherman from Kasimedu Area in North Chennai died of heart attack while fishing in deep sea.

Police said the deceased Kalasapillai ventured into the sea on May 30 for fishing along with two others.

While fishing in deep sea, the net got entangled in his legs and he fell inside the boat with a big thud.

In the process, he suffered a heart attack and died on the spot.

Despite having a mobile phone in his possession, his colleagues in the boat could not call for help as there was no signal.

The body of kalasapillai was brought to the shore yesterday evening.

Fishing Harbour Police registered a case and sent the body to a government hospital for post-mortem.
