Washington, June 2 : A Denver man named Jeff Peckman has proposed the idea of creating an "Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission" to handle the problem of alien encounters.
If reports are to be believed, his proposal calls for the spending of 75,000 dollars of taxpayer money on this work.
It is, however, still quite obscure as to what exactly Peckman's idea is.
Some believe that it relates to providing counselling to those who have been anally probed by aliens or creating victims' assistance funds.
With a view to publicising his effort, Peckman even held a press conference recently, where he announced that he had definitive proof of alien visitation.
He corroborated that statement with a short video clip shot in July 2003 in Nebraska by a man named Stan Romanek, who claimed that an alien travelled across the universe to stop by his house, and look through his window at his daughters.
The video footage seen at the press conference shows a dark window, behind which a strange, indistinct head pops up and down several times, reported Live Science.
The Web site report, however, also suggested that even upon assuming that the video actually depicted some mysterious humanoid creature, it was still unclear how Peckman or Romanek could conclusively identify it as an alien.
