APJS beat YPS by nine wickets in 10th Hot Weather Cricket

Patiala, June 2 (UNI) APJS, Kharar, whipped the local Yadavindra Public School, by nine wickets in the 10th Hot Weather league-cum-knock out summer cricket Tournament (Under-13) here today.

YPS were all out for 84 in 31.4 overs. Ikjot (20) and Gurkaran (17) were the main run getters. For APJS, Karanveer took 3 for 22, while Bhambri and Hardeep bagged two wickets each, conceding 18 and 5 runs respectively. APJA scored 85 for 1 in 15 overs, S Bhambri was unbeaten on 47.

In another match, played at the Army cricket ground, Delhi Cricket Foundation (DCF) defeated Multipurpose School, Patiala, in a well-contested match.

Batting first, Multipurpose School scored 158 for 8 in 40 overs.

Manveer (27), Harpreet (24), Parveen (18) were the main scorers. For DCF, Parteek took 3 for 36 and Abhishek took 2 for 35. In reply, DCF scored 159 for 7 in 34.4 overs. A Narang played a magnificent unbeaten innings of 73. For Multipurpose School, Parveen took 3 for 28.

In the third match, played at DMW cricket ground, Stadium X1, Agra, defeated Sumit Dogra Cricket Academy (SDCA), Delhi by 97 runs in a one-sided match.For Stadium X1, Dev Achal scored a fine half century (58).

Stadium X1 scored 159 for 6 in 40 overs. In reply, SDCA were all out for a paltry 62 in 24 overs. Sagar took 3 for 3 and Abhishek Chaube bagged 2 for 12.
