Ambala, June 1: Dead bodies of three youths were recovered from the Topkhana-Panjokhra Road close to the Army area here today.
The head of one of the three bodies was battered badly. The youths, in the age group of 20-22 years, were from an engineering college in Mullana, police said.
The Police, who claimed to have intensified patrolling in the wake of threatening letters from the militants, reached the spot in the morning on receiving the information from local residents that the bodies had been lying there till late last night.
After recovering the bodies, the police sent them to the Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment.
DSP Rajesh Sharma, who was on the site, informed that it was too early to comment on the cause of the deaths.
The youth were on motorcycle and were under the influence of liquor. The vehicle might have rammed into a tree resulting in their death, the DSP added.
