Haryana to give 50% subsidy on Aluminium Phosphide
Chandigarh, Jun 1 (UNI) The Haryana Government has decided to provide 50 per cent subsidy on Aluminium Phosphide--a fumigant to control pest in the foodgrain storage--to the farmers in the state.
While disclosing this here today, Haryana Agriculture Minister H S Chatha said that a sum of Rs five lakh has been earmarked for this purpose during this financial year.
He said that the fumigant will be supplied to the farmers in small pouches of 10 gms. One such pouch would cost Rs 3.50 to the farmers on 50 per cent subsidy.
The pouches of fumigant will be made available with the Agriculture Development Officer (Plant Protection) located at each block headquarters, he added.
