New Delhi, Jun 1 (UNI) Expressing the trauma he underwent after being accused in the Glasgow bombing case, Indian physician Dr Mohammed Haneef, who was later released, today said the fear of terrorist is definitely there but the most dangerous are the agencies who are there to control terrorism.

Speaking here in an International Conference on terrorism, organised by the Jama Masjid United Forum Dr Haneef said the approach of the agencies to target a specific community or a specific person definitely creates a fear among the people.

Dr Hannef said ''I am a living example of how mena of terrorism has affected innocent lives and the phenomenon of how Muslims are stereotyped as being terrorists or sympathizers of terrorists whether they are guilty or not.'' Dr Haneef recalled his ordeal which he faced when there was a terrorist plot in UK. He was detained in Australia for charges of supplying a SIM card for terrorism purposes.

Later, the charges were dropped against him as the officials admitted that there were 'errors of facts' and 'mistakes' made by them which is currently the subject of judicial inquiry in Australia.

Dr Haneef urged the Indian authorities to take caution while arresting any person without substantial proof.
