Mumbai, Jun 1 (UNI) Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan today said his latest movie 'Sarkar Raj' was an intense, dramatic and powerful film.
''I saw the first trial of the movie, scheduled to be released on June six, last night and am proud to say that I am deeply honoured to be part of it,'' Amitabh writes in his blog ''Much before Mr Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) made 'Sarkar', the first one, he and I would meet often to discuss possibilities of working together. Amongst the several ideas that we discussed there was one which I had great fascination for. It was the subject of palace politics,'' Amitabh says.
''Power has always had many interpretations. There is power in politics, in industry, in business, in belief, in our homes, indeed in many aspects of our existence. But the power of 'palace politics' was what intrigued me and what prompted RGV and me to put it to creativity,'' he says.
Meanwhile, Mr Verma, who started his blog this week, said the film showcases the aura of power.
''Sarkar Raj is much bigger than my earlier film 'Sarkar'. I have pushed the upper limits of technique in every way to make each and every frame and sound to vibrate with power,'' the film-maker writes in his blog.
''I have always believed that there is no greater cinematic visual than an actor performing in a tight close-up. The faces of the three Bachchans in 'Sarkar Raj' are the ultimate testimony of that,'' he added.
The Bachchans--Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya, figure together for the first time in lead roles in the much-touted film, which Industry sources believe is a sure-fire winner at the box-office and augurs well for the fortunes of Bollywood. Only 'Race' has been a runaway success so far in 2008, the sources added.
