Son kills mother after monetary dispute
New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) A 55-year-old woman was allegedly strangled by her son in Rohini area of north-west Delhi over a monetary dispute.
The accused Vipul, as IAS aspirant, has been arrested after he broke down during interrogation, said the police.
Vipul allegedly first gave his mother, Kailash Devi, sleeping pills in her meal last evening at his Rohini Sector 15 residence and then after tying her hands and feet, strangled her.
He later slashed his wrist and called the police claiming that he had been injured and his mother killed by robbers who came to rob them.
After sustained interrogation, Vipul confessed to his crime.
Sources said Vipul often had arguments over monetary matters with his mother.
