Sacha Sauda chief interrogated by Punjab Police
Sirsa, May 31 (UNI) Punjab Police today interrogated Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh in the case of hurting religious sentiments of Sikhs.
A team of Punjab police led by DSP Surendra Pal Singh interrogated the Dera chief for one and a half hours in the office of the SP here. However, he refused to divulge the details.
Though a tight ring of security was thrown outside the SP's office in view of the Dera chief's interrogation, a large number of his devotees reached the venue.
Talking to the reporters, Dera Sacha Sauda spokesman Dr Pawan alleged that the Dera chief was being intentionally harassed by the Punjab police.
The Dera chief has been booked by Punjab police in Bhatinda for allegedly hurting the Sikh sentiments by trying to imitate Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhs during a Dera function on May 20 last year.
