Poetic rendezvous with Gulzar proves inspirational for specially-abled kids
Bhopal, May 31 : A poetic rendezvous with veteran Bollywood lyricist and poet Gulzar proved inspirational for a bunch of specially-abled children in Bhopal.
Gulzar visited 'Arushi Sanstha', a home for specially-abled children, and spent quite some time with the children.
The children were excited to have the noted poet amongst them.
They presented Gulzar with souvenirs made by them and a few of them also narrated self-written pieces in front of him.
This was Gulzar's fourth visit to the children's home.
"I have listened to his poems and songs recorded in CDs. Whenever I meet him, I get a lot of inspiration from him," said Kamal, a visually impaired boy.
"It was a great experience. He is a very good writer and a very nice human being. I've gifted him with a card, which I made on my own," said Javed Khan, a physically disabled boy.
During his visit, Gulzar narrated one of his favourite kid's poems and also went through the handicrafts and paintings done by the children. He also planted a sapling there.
'Arushi Sanstha' has been working for the welfare of such specially-abled children for past 17 years and has quite a commendable collection of Gulzar's works.
