Bangalore, May 31(UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.
Rainfall occurred at many places over Coastal Karnataka, at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Mulki 8.
Other chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Kundapur, Bhatkal, Balehonnur 6 each, Channapatna, Maddur, Kunigal 5 each, Dharmasthala, Mangalore City, Tiptur, C.N.Halli, Turuvegere, Tumkur 4 each, Shirali, Ankola, Sargur, Nanjangud, K.R.Pet, Basaralu 3 each.
Maximum Temperatures changed little over the State, They were above normal at many places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.
Raichur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40.2 Degree Celsius over the State.
