Jeev at joint 2nd in Wales,Chowrasia, Randhawa

Wales, UK, May 31 (UNI) Jeev Milkha Singh carded a brilliant three under 68 with a total of nine under 133 to be tied second after the third round of Celtic Manor Wales Open (European Tour) in Newport here.

The 2006 Asian Tour Order of Merit winner's solid 68 followed his exceptional first round 65.

Jeev fired birdies on the second, sixth, 11th, 14th and 18th and made bogeys on the third and 10th.

The ace Indian golfer shares the second position along with Robert Dinwiddie and Benn Barham of England and Spaniard Alvaro Velasco.

Australian Scott Strange is currently leading the table. He is four strokes ahead of Jeev, Dinwiddie, Barham and Velasco.

However, the other three Indians in the field Shiv Kapur, Jyoti Randhawa and SSP Chowrasia missed the cut.

Shiv Kapur (73, 69) and Jyoti Randhawa (72, 70) crashed out of the tournament as they finished tied 74th with a total of even par 142.

SSP Chowrasia (72, 71) was placed tied 88th at one over 143.
