New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) Outsourcing company EXL Service Executive Chairman Vikram Talwar has been selected as a finalist for 'The Metro New York Ernst and Young (E&Y) Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 Award'.
''I feel honored to be a finalist for the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award,'' Mr Talwar said.
According to E&Y LLP, the awards program recognises entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
Mr Talwar, who co-founded EXL in April 1999, was selected as a finalist from over 40 nominations by a panel of independent judges.
''This recognition is an acknowledgment of the robust business model that we have been able to evolve combining EXL's capabilities in transformation and outsourcing services,'' Mr Talwar said.
In just nine years, EXL has earned a leadership position in its industry through continuous innovation in its value proposition-increasing operational efficiency, enabling effective decision making and enhancing risk and control environments, a EXL Services statement said.
The E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year awards program celebrates its 22nd anniversary this year.
The program has expanded to recognise business leaders in over 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world.
Regional award winners are eligible for consideration for The E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year national program.
Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 15, 2008.
