Defence Minister shifted to CTC for further treatment

Pune, May 31 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony was airlifted to the Cardio-Thoracic Centre here for further treatment after he fainted while reviewing the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 114th batch of the National Defence Academy (NDA) earlier this morning, National Defence Academy Public Relation Officer Major Pratap Singh said.

''The Minister is doing well and being treated at the CTC,'' Major Pratap said.

Mr Antony had collpased after addressing the gathering at the Passing-out-Parade of the cadets.

He had two blackouts reportedly due to exhaustion. His vital functions were normal and his condition stable, he said.
