Pune, May 31 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony, who had fainted during the NDA passing out parade here this morning, left for New Delhi at around 1600 hrs after resting at the MH-CTC here.
Mr Antony will be taken directly to the Research&Referral Hospital in New Delhi. He fainted twice at the NDA passing out parade of the 114th course.
Mr Antony was doing well, while leaving for the airport and even walked down to his car. He was accompanied by Col S K Dutta (Cardiologist) and a nursing officer.
The Minister underwent several tests at MH-CTC, including electrocardiogram and echocardiogram, hospital sources said, adding that the Minister had collapsed due to dehydration and exhaustion, on account of a hectic travelling schedule.
