{image-sharad yadav_31052008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Lucknow, May 31: Janata Dal(United) president Sharad Yadav today said rising inflation would serve a major blow to the ruling UPA government at the Centre and indicated that more than 100 small political parties were eager to join the NDA before the Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Yadav said the wrong policies of the Centre were responsible for the price rise of essential commodities besides Special Economic Zone(SEZ) could be another major factor for the inflation. ''More than 100 small and big political parties are now in touch with us and they are eager to join the NDA,'' he said without saying much on the issue. Talking about the Gujjar reservation issue, the JD(U) president without making any comment said the issue should be sought out as per the Constitution.'' The Centre and state government should not bypass the Constitution in solving the issue,'' he said.

Commenting on the state of rule in UP, he said the situation in Bundelkhand region was very critical and both the state and Centre was only interested in doing politics.'' The state and the Centre had done nothing to provide any relief to the people of the Bundelkhand region where there is acute shortage of drinking water, fodder and even foodgrains,'' he claimed.

The former union minister criticised the Mayawati government's proposal for the Ganga Expressway and claimed that it will finish the holy river.''The new expressway would certainly increase pollution,'' he alleged.
