Mumbai, May 30 (UNI) ''The confidence of the boys is higher now going into the semifinal against Chennai Super Kings,'' Punjab King's XI captain Yuvraj Singh said here today.
Speaking to mediapersons at the pre match press conference here, Yuvraj said,''we have learned a lot from the two losses to Chennai Super Kings in the league stage and we have taken corrective measures and have planned accordingly.'' ''We have noted the areas where we have faltered and we will be ready tomorrow when the match begins,'' he added.
Yuvraj also said that he has not yet decided on what to do is they win the toss. ''We will take a look at the wicket and the conditions tomorrow and then decide,'' he added.
In the two league matches against Chennai Super Kings, the team from the South had batted first and piled up a huge score.
The Indian vice captain also felt that he was striking form at the right moment. ''It was good to get my touch in the last match, it has come at the right time,'' he stated.
On the IPL experience, Yuvraj said it has been a great experience sharing the dressing room with international stars and getting to know a lot of cricketers.
Yuvraj also felt that now the younger players would have more fire in them when they play the domestic tourneys to try and get into the franchisee sides for next season's IPL.
Tom Moody, the coach of the King's XI, said that the two earlier losses to Chennai would not count for anything as tomorrow's match is a big one, the semi-final. ''We are concentrating on our strengths and if Chennai can match us then good for them.'' The Australian, former coach of Sri Lanka also felt that in IPL the coaches job was basically more of man management than trying to improve the skills of the players. ''It is difficult to actually coach the side, it is rather more a job of managing a team, more towards getting players follow a game plan.'' UNI GS AB VC2039
