Uday Holla appointed as new Advocate General
Bangalore, May 30(UNI) The new government headed by B S Yeddyurappa today appointed senior counsel Uday Holla as the new Advocate General of the state.
Mr Yeddyurappa speaking to newsmen after the customary first meeting of the new cabinet said the cabinet decided to appoint Mr Holla as the new Advocate General of the state.
Mr Holla was the state Advocate General during in the H D Kumaraswamy led JD(S)-BJP coalition government.
Mr Yeddyurappa also said that on the opening day of the new assembly session K G Bopaiah, a BJP legislator got elected from Kodagu will administer oath to all the new legislators. On the following day the assembly will elect new speaker and later government will seek vote of confidence, he added.
Mr Yeddyurappa also said that the new government will standby its commitments made in its election manifesto 'Sankalpa' and will strive hard to implement in phased manner during its five year term.
