Sagar, MP, May 30 (UNI) Tension prevailed in the Dr Harisingh Gaur University premises here after a daily wage earner committed suicide this morning following financial crisis' police said.
Sanoudha village-resident Poornal Lodhi's body was found on railway tracks between Sanoudha and Girwar railway stations. A suicide note revealed that he committed suicide due to his worsening economical condition and disputes with wife.
The university employees, who were agitating to demand Minimum Wage Board and Dearance Allowance, were co-relating this incident with their movement. Employees stopped work in several departments.
Expressing grief over Mr Lodhi's death, University Registrar B L Bunkar said he was not active in the employees movement and was not on duty for eight months, still he was taken back on the job.
