Shot putter Saroj Sihag to lead Haryana Athletic team

Chandigarh, May 30 (UNI) National Games Gold Medalist in shot-put and discus throw Saroj Sihag of Hisar will lead the 31 member contingent of Haryana Athletic Team for 48th Inter State National Athletic Championship to be held at Madurai (TN) from June 15 to 18.

According to Haryana State Athletic Association Secretary H S Bhadu, other members are Men--Dayakishan (100m), Ajay Kumar (200m, 400m and 4X400m Relay), Bhupender Singh (400m and 400m Relay), Sunil Kumar (400m and 400m Relay), Parmod Kumar (400m Relay), Bijender Singh (400m Relay), Sandeep (1500m and 5000m Relay), Govind (400m Hurdle), Omnarayan, Anil Kumar and Ankit Kumar (Javelin), Rahul, Naveen Kumar and Karan Singh (Discus), Omprakash, Amit Malik and Sandeep (Shot Put), Madhu Kumar, Sunil Punia (Hammer), Suresh Kumar, Digvijay and Rampal (Pole Vault), Ramniwas and Charan Singh (Decathlon) and Pardeep Kumar (10 km Race Walk).

Women---Mukesh Kumari and Gurpreet Kaur (Javelin), Saroj Sihag (Shot Put and Discus), Neelam (Shot put), Aplesh Kumari (Shot Put and Javelin) Seema Antil (Discus Throw).
